Lauren Burden has a diverse work experience in the fields of communications, community relations, and victim advocacy. Lauren began their career in 2011 as an Admissions Clerk at Morgan Medical Center. In 2013, they joined the Douglas County District Attorney's Office as a Victim Advocate. Over the years, they took on additional roles within the same organization, including Communications Coordinator and, most recently, Director of Communications and Community Relations since January 2022.
Lauren Burden obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology from Georgia College & State University, graduating in 2010. Lauren also holds additional certifications, including being a Georgia Certified Advocate from the Prosecuting Attorneys' Council of Georgia, obtained in January 2020, and an Advanced Comprehensive Victim Intervention Specialist from the National Advocate Credentialing Program, obtained in December 2021.
