Mike Nash is a Principal of Douglas Partners and is a former Managing Director of the company. He has over 40 years’ experience in the geo-environmental industry.
Mike has worked in UK in the quarrying and landfill industry and in water resources, in Hong Kong in the Public Work Department on slope works, landfill development and on the replacement airport (dredging and construction), and for the last 24 years in Australia with Douglas Partners’ Sydney branch.
Mike’s contribution to Douglas Partners’ technical services involves a range of geo-environmental consulting areas including; statutory and non-statutory auditing, contamination investigations, site assessment and the development and implementation of remediation plans, hydrogeological investigations, landfill gas investigations and ground gas mitigation, leachate treatment and landfill design.
Mike is an accredited auditor in NSW, WA, ACT and NT and undertakes contaminated site audits in these jurisdictions as well as providing expert witness services in accordance with environmental law and regulatory requirements, including the Cranbourne Landfill Gas proceedings at the Supreme Court of Victoria. He is a certified contaminated sites practitioner with Site Contamination Practitioners Australia. Mike is registered on the NER and has also obtained his CPEng (Civil and Environmental Colleges).
Mike has published a number of papers in journals and at conferences on contaminated sites remediation, landfill gas mitigation, groundwater contamination and remediation, waste management and landfill design.
