Shamal Singh

Shamal Singh is a seasoned professional with a background in engineering and sustainability, currently serving as the Continuous Improvement Engineering Manager at Douglas Pharmaceuticals since July 2023. Previously, Shamal held multiple roles at BAT from January 2018 to June 2023, including Sustainability Manager for South Pacific Business Services, focusing on Environmental, Health & Safety compliance and driving initiatives in waste reduction, water conservation, and renewable energy infrastructure. Other positions at BAT included Production Engineering Manager, where management of the South Pacific Business Services team and manufacturing process improvements were key responsibilities, and South Pacific Process Improvement Lead, concentrating on efficiency and process optimization. Shamal began the professional journey as a Graduate Engineer, participating in a program that provided exposure to critical business functions. Shamal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of the South Pacific, completed in 2018.
