Maria Athanasiou

Maria Athanasiou has extensive experience in financial services and auditing, currently serving as an IFRS Manager at doValue Greece since October 2021. Prior to this role, Maria held the position of Senior Manager at KPMG Greece, leading banking and financial audits while demonstrating deep expertise in IFRS 9, complex business transactions, and securitizations. At PwC, Maria progressed from Associate to Manager, gaining significant experience in IFRS audits for major banking clients and advisory projects related to loan portfolio assessments for institutions like the National Bank of Greece and Piraeus Bank. Maria's educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration from Athens University of Economics and Business, along with certifications from ACCA and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Greece.
