Matthew Smithies is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in software development and consultancy. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at DOVU since April 2019, Matthew has led innovative initiatives, including the creation of a marketplace for tokenized carbon offsetting. As the founder of Safe Streaming, Matthew focuses on helping consumers navigate online video content safely. Additionally, Matthew holds the position of Director at Happy Titan Ltd., driving rapid digital product development for startups. Previous roles include CTO at Coursematch, Software Engineer at Tapmydata, and various development positions at Simpleweb and Blockmason Inc. Early career experience includes senior IT development at The Asset Works and Android development for TappCandy. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Computing from the University of Plymouth.
