Peter D. Farragher

Peter, a graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a BS in Education, started his Y career in 1986 as Senior.

Aquatic Director and Head Swim Coach for the Beverly Regional YMCA in Beverly Massachusetts. Peter spent 12 years at the Beverly Y serving as the Senior Aquatic Director, Associate Executive Director for Membership & Marketing and Branch Executive Director of the Sterling Center Branch of the Beverly YMCA, now known as the North Shore YMCA. During his time in Beverly Massachusetts, he served as Beverly’s Kiwanis Club President. Peter is an Ellsworth Rotarian, past President of the Club and a Paul Harris Fellow. Peter has also volunteered as the Maine YMCA Swim League

Commissioner since 1999.

He has been the CEO of the Down East Family YMCA since 1998 and lives in Lamoine with his wife Nancy and St. Bernard Greta.
