Beth Mears-Smith

English has always been a passion for Beth, who now successfully combines teaching with being the Housemistress of AGN House. Each role informs the other and gives Beth useful insight into both the academic and pastoral aspects of the full boarding life the girls lead at Downe House.

Beth taught for six years at Monmouth School, before joining Downe House as the Resident Tutor in AGS and English teacher, before becoming Housemistress of Holcombe and now AGN! She moves to AGN with her husband, Josh, their daughter and their dog, Alfie.

Beth truly knows what makes a happy Downe House girl and encourages a responsive family environment within her boarding house.
