James Edgley

James Edgley is an experienced investment manager currently working at Downing LLP since April 2021, where James previously held the position of investment executive. Prior to this, James served as a senior technical and commercial analyst at Renewable Energy Systems Ltd from October 2018 to April 2021, where James developed a successful Power Trading quantitative model in Python that optimized electricity sales hedging strategies, improving returns and reducing financial risk. Earlier in their career, James was employed as an engineer at DNV GL from May 2016 to October 2018, providing technical solutions and industry advice in the offshore energy sector, with a focus on wind turbine installation and site assessments for jack-up units. James holds a Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cambridge, obtained in 2015.
