Iman Shami

Iman Shami has extensive experience in various roles related to education and employment services. Since May 2009, Iman has served as an ES Coordinator and Career Specialist at Downriver Community Conference - MI Works, providing expert advice and support to job seekers and employers. Prior to this, Iman worked at ETD Services/Michigan Works, greeting customers and assessing their needs as an Employment Service specialist. Iman also served as an Instructor, Editor, and Translator at WTCDW / Danou Enterprises, Inc., where responsibilities included translating and editing language materials. Additionally, Iman has experience as a Substitute Teacher in Dearborn Public Schools, assisting students with special needs. Early career experience includes a role as an Assistant Processor at Shore Mortgage. Iman earned 171 credits toward a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Math/Bilingual Education from Wayne State University and holds an Associate degree in Arts from Henry Ford Community College.
