Jessica Mercado

Jessica Mercado has extensive experience in accounting and payroll. Jessica began their career in 2014 as an HR Payroll Tech for Rancho Harvest Inc, where they administered HR Payroll functions for 900-1,000+ employees, provided employees with information about company policies and benefits, and was responsible for recruitment for labor positions. In 2017, they moved to Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County, where they processed payroll for approximately 1,200 employees, audited payroll prior to transmission, and ran check register reports, 403B contributions and Labor Distribution Reports. In 2018, Jessica became an AP/AR Specialist for Pacific Petroleum California, Inc., where they prepared itemized statements, bills, or invoices and recorded amounts due for items purchased or services rendered. Jessica also located and monitored overdue accounts, using QuickBooks and a variety of automated systems. Jessica then moved to Papich Construction in 2019, where they prepared certified weekly payroll for approximately 200 employees, verified accuracy of time and attendance records and made all necessary and approved corrections before payroll was processed. Jessica also prepared Federal and State tax reports prior to deposit and maintained Health spreadsheet deductions after every payroll. Finally, Jessica currently works as an Accounting Specialist for both Dozuki and Center of Effort Wines, where they started in 2020 and 2022, respectively.

Jessica Mercado attended Allan Hancock College from 2019 to 2025 and earned an Associate's degree in Accounting and Finance.
