Derek Chan has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Derek started their career at Procter & Gamble as an Assistant Brand Manager in 1996 and later became a Brand Manager. In 2003, they joined Levi Strauss & Co. where they held various roles including General Manager responsible for Country and Channel P&L and Brand development. At AMOREPACIFIC, they served as the Co-Founder of Laneige in Hong Kong from 2003 to 2013. Derek then moved to Nike as the VP/GM - Territory, overseeing a large-scale brick & mortar stores fleet and spearheading growth in China. Derek's most recent role was at Amazon as the VP/GM of Amazon China Books/Fashion business, where they were responsible for P&L and Free Cash Flow across multiple channels and driving strategic changes. Currently, they serve as the President, Asia Pacific at Dr. Martens Plc.
Derek Chan obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics from The University of Hong Kong, where they studied from 1993 to 1996. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at HKUST Business School from 2000 to 2003. The field of study for their MBA degree is not specified.
