Raul Colas

Raul Colas has worked in the finance and investment banking industries for several years. In 2015, they began working at Evercore as an Investment Banking - Public Finance and Infrastructure, where they were involved in +$2Bn in debt restructurings for Mexican states and designed 3 SPVs for debt financings in sub-sovereign government transactions. From 2017 to 2021, they worked at Morgan Stanley as an Investment Banking - Financial Institutions, where they completed $3Bn+ in FIG M&A transactions, including the two largest bank M&As in Mexico in the decade, and closed $4Bn+ in equity and debt issuances. In 2021, they became an MBA Summer Associate at Equity International, where they designed and implemented growth initiatives for a portfolio company and built a dashboard to guide marketing efforts. Since 2020, they have been an MBA Candidate at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. In 2022, they began working at Draftea as a Strategic Finance & Game Ops, where they are part of a team of highly motivated people passionate about technology, sports and entertainment with the goal of bringing experiential happiness to people in Mexico.

Raul Colas holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, which they obtained between 2011 and 2016. Raul is currently pursuing an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, which they began in 2020 and is expected to complete in 2022. In addition, they obtained a Venture Deals Summer 2020 certification from the Kauffman Fellows in August 2020.
