Laurens Lambert has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research and consulting. They began their career as a Summer Student at The Wellcome Trust and Cancer Research UK Gurdon Institute, University of Cambridge, and later worked as a Summer Student at The Wellcome Trust Centre for Cell Biology, University of Edinburgh. They then became a Visiting Student at the Babraham Institute, University of Cambridge, where they collaborated with the lab of Wolf Reik and published their research in a peer-reviewed journal.
Afterwards, Laurens joined The David Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research, Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Visiting Student, where they characterized the role of Clb2 in the regulation of the mitotic exit network in budding yeast. They then returned to the institute as a PhD Student in the laboratory of Prof. Tyler Jacks, where they developed novel pancreatic cancer mouse models and studied the T cell response.
Following their PhD, Laurens worked as a Graduate Student Intern at Merrimack and then joined Vida Ventures, LLC as a Fellow. At Vida Ventures, they evaluated scientific evidence and clinical paradigms, and performed technical diligence on investment decisions. They also supported the Boston office team in making investment decisions, including the Kinnate Biopharma investment.
Later, Laurens joined MPM Capital as a Consultant, where they supported company formation activities and presented research progress to the founding team on prospective development candidates. Currently, they are working at Dragonfly Therapeutics, Inc. as a Scientist, and previously held the role of Senior Scientist.

Laurens Lambert earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Radboud University in 2011. Following this, they went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Medical Biology at the same university, which they completed in 2014. Subsequently, they enrolled in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Oncology and Cancer Biology in 2020.
