Wayne Carey has a diverse work experience in the fields of photography, video production, and digital marketing. Wayne started their career in 1987 as a Production Engineer, Director, Producer, and Editor at WLJT-TV Channel 11, where they gained extensive skills in video production, including field acquisition, audio engineering, editing, and directing televised events. Wayne then worked as a Video Editor and Producer at DM Outdoors, where they edited shows and commercials for "Bill Dance Outdoors" and produced and edited programs for "Larry Nixon's Fishing Lessons" and "Roland Martin Fishing." In 2004, Wayne joined Strike King Lure Co as a Video Editor and Content Producer, where they were responsible for the production of two broadcast outdoor television programs, including media ingestion, editing, and graphic design. Wayne also served as a Graphics Designer, creating product packaging, logos, and advertising graphics. In 2013, Wayne started their own photography business called Wayne Carey Photography, specializing in various types of photography using Olympus and Nikon DSLRs. Wayne later joined Drake Waterfowl Systems in 2020 as a Graphics/Product Photography/Digital Marketing role, where they handled product photography, graphics responsibilities for the company's website and social media, and maintained the website's content. In 2021, Wayne became the Owner of WCV Consulting, assisting individuals in video production and answering related questions. Wayne brings over 35 years of experience in all areas of video production to their consulting role.
Wayne Carey received their education at two different institutions. From 1983 to 1985, they attended Hiwassee College, where they earned an A.S. degree in Engineering Technology. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1986 and completed their studies in 1994, earning a B.S. degree in Communications. In addition to their formal education, Wayne acquired the Apple Certified Pro Final Cut Pro HD Level One Certification from Future Media Concepts in April 2005.
