Athena K.

Athena K. has a wide range of work experience. Athena has been working since 2013, when they began as a Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. During their time there, they published two peer-reviewed papers and presented their research at an international NIH conference on minority health. In 2017, Athena K. began working as a Software Engineer at Uber's Advanced Technologies Group. Athena also co-founded Coding it Forward that same year, and was contracted with many federal government agencies and won grants from the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative, Schmidt Futures, Knight Foundation, and Vision New America. Athena was also a Managing Partner for Dorm Room Fund and a Greylock X Fellow for Greylock Partners. In 2018, they joined 8VC as part of their Investing Team. Athena K. is currently the CEO of Dreambound, where they are creating upward mobility for America by breaking down barriers to vocational careers. Athena was also recently featured in Forbes 30 Under 30.

Athena K. obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Harvard University.
