Eric Ayers

Eric Ayers is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and management. Currently serving as Makerspace Manager at Charles R Drew Charter School since February 2022, Eric oversees exhibit design, makerspace maintenance, and clubs for K-12 students. Previously at Square from February 2014 to February 2022, Eric progressed from Engineering Manager to Engineering Lead in Payment Acceptance, managing multiple sprint teams and ensuring a high level of service uptime. Eric's experience also includes roles at salesforce.com, where site reliability was a focus, and Google, where contributions were made to developer tools. As Chief Architect at Intec, solutions were developed for the telecommunications industry, and a solid foundation was built as a Graduate Research Assistant and summer intern at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where significant improvements in technology throughput were achieved. Eric holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology.
