David Neely has extensive work experience in the aviation industry. David started their career in 2002 as a Marine Corps Officer and AV-8B Harrier pilot in the United States Marine Corps. David served in various roles within the Marine Corps, including Operations Officer at VMA-231 and LSO/Maintenance Officer at VMA-223. In 2010, they joined VMAT-203 as an Instructor Pilot, ASO, and IPTO. David then moved on to VMA-513, where they took on responsibilities as a DoSS, ASO, Airframes, and HAZMAT personnel. In 2014, Neely attended the Defence Academy of the UK as a USMC Student ASCS 18. From 2015 to 2016, they served as an Operations Officer at VMA-231. David later joined VMA-223 as an AOPSO from 2017 to 2018. Neely then transitioned to VX-9 in 2018, where they held the role of AV-8B Branch Head until 2022. Currently, they work as a Contract Instructor Pilot for F-35 at Delaware Resource Group since 2022.
David Neely has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Communication, General, which they obtained from Norwich University between 1998 and 2002. David further pursued their education by obtaining a Master of Arts (MA) in Defence Studies from King's College London from 2014 to 2015. During the same period, they also completed a Defence Studies program at JSCSC ACSC 18.
