J. Duncan McMillan

J. Duncan McMillan has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Their expertise lies in C-130 aircraft operations and training. J. Duncan started their career as a Student Navigator and subsequently became a C-130E Navigator, excelling in radar, navigation, and defensive systems. Later, they completed Air Force Pilot Training, graduated as the top student, and received the title of Distinguished Graduate. J. Duncan then served as a C-130E Aircraft Commander, overseeing training programs and mission readiness for over 180 personnel.

McMillan's career progressed to include roles such as Scheduler, Awards and Decorations Officer, and Chief Pilot at various squadron levels. J. Duncan actively contributed to the planning and execution of thousands of training events, ensuring adherence to standards and evaluating squadron training programs.

Their expertise expanded further when they became an Instructor Pilot, specializing in C-130J aircraft. J. Duncan conducted refresher training for C-130J aircrewmembers and was responsible for threat detection, recognition, and avoidance. J. Duncan McMillan obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University in the years 1988 to 1992. Later, in 2001, McMillan attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where they studied Aviation Safety. In terms of additional certifications, McMillan obtained a Commercial Pilot License, Multi-Engine, Instrument from the Federal Aviation Administration in 1999. J. Duncan also obtained a Private Pilot, Single-Engine, Land certification in 1987. Furthermore, McMillan acquired certifications such as Program Management Level I and Production, Quality, Manufacturing Level I from the Defense Acquisition University in 2013 and 2012, respectively.
