Thaw Aung has a diverse work experience. thaw started their career as a Sushi Chef at Afc Sushi in 2014. In 2015, they worked as an Uber Driver and then transitioned to being a Co-Pilot for FMI Air. In 2017, after their airline went bankrupt, they returned to the US and worked as an Uber Driver for a brief period before joining Cape Air as a First Officer in 2018. At Cape Air, they progressed to the role of Captain in 2019 and worked there until 2021. In 2021, they joined Horizon Air as a First Officer but left after one year to pursue a new opportunity. Thaw Aung started working as a Commercial Drone Operator for DroneBase in 2021 and is currently employed as a First Officer at Atlas Air since 2022. thaw also had a part-time role as an Amazon Flex Driver in 2018. Thaw Aung holds a Part 107 license as a commercial drone operator.
Thaw Aung's education history starts in 2010 when they attended Portland Community College. Thaw Aung studied Aviation Science and focused on Aviation/Airway Management and Operations for two years. In 2012, Thaw Aung proceeded to attend ATP Flight School and pursued Pilot Training for a year before moving on to Aerosim Flight Academy in 2013. At Aerosim Flight Academy, Thaw Aung completed their studies in Airline/Commercial/Professional Pilot and Flight Crew, earning a CPL degree.
