VP Of Engineering at DroneDeploy

Jeremy Eastwood has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Jeremy started their career as an Engineer at GL Noble Denton in 2003 and later worked as an Undergraduate Supervisor and Admissions Interviewer at Magdalene College, Cambridge from 2008 to 2013. In 2009, they joined Cambridge University Engineering Department as a Project Demonstrator and later became a Research Associate, where they developed methodologies for jet engine design optimization. In 2013, they worked as a CAD Demonstrator at the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge.

In 2014, Jeremy joined DroneDeploy as a Drone Engineer and progressed through various positions, including Mapping Technical Lead, Engineering Manager for Mapping, Computer Vision and Machine Learning, Director of Engineering, Head of Engineering, and finally as the current Vice President of Engineering. Their work at DroneDeploy has involved leading teams and overseeing the development and implementation of mapping technologies, computer vision, and machine learning.

Jeremy Eastwood has a strong education background in engineering and aeronautical engineering. Jeremy attended the University of Cambridge, where they obtained a PhD in Aeronautical Engineering from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Aeronautical Engineering from 2007 to 2008, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Engineering from 2004 to 2007. Before their university studies, they attended Kings College School, Wimbledon from 1998 to 2003, where they focused on subjects such as physics, chemistry, maths, and further maths.
