Steven Kim

Steven Kim is a Principal Engineer at Dropbox since March 2024, focusing on Dropbox Dash with an emphasis on search and AI. Previously, as CTO at Qarik Group from July 2021 to February 2024, Kim defined core competencies and led technical strategy through R&D efforts. At Google, from May 2013 to July 2021, Kim managed engineering teams in Google Drive, overseeing the delivery of large-scale enterprise features and critical core services. Kim also held engineering management roles at DreamWorks Animation, where responsibility included running production IT and developing tools for feature film production. Early career experience includes managing business operations in the music industry and various technical roles, including positions in the Human Genome Project and Oracle. Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UCLA.
