JD Matheus

Vice President of Professional Sports at Drug Free Sport International

JD Matheus has a strong background in sports management and anti-doping programs. JD started their career in 2000 with the Houston Astros as an Asst. Foreign Operations, where they worked for two and a half years. In 2005, they joined Drug Free Sport International as the Vice President of Professional Sports. In this role, they managed the anti-doping programs for various professional sports clients and oversaw financial reports and budgets, operations, DCO development, vendors, scheduling, and coordinating missions domestically and internationally. JD was also responsible for the logistics between the company, clients, and the DCO network.

JD Matheus obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Kinesiology/Sports Administration from the University of Houston, where they studied from 1997 to 2000. Following that, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Sports Psychology at John F. Kennedy University from 2001 to 2003. JD Matheus also obtained additional certifications, including SBIA Next Level from the Small Business Investor Alliance in November 2017 and Leadership Training for Managers, however, the specific dates of obtaining the latter certification were not provided.
