Kim Sonnenschein has a strong background in human resources, with extensive experience in various roles at DSM, a global science-based company. Starting in 2007, Sonnenschein held positions such as HR Business Partner, Global Manager HR & General Affairs, and Executive Global HR Director across different departments and global functions. From 2017 to 2023, Sonnenschein served as Country Head of HR for the Netherlands, VP HR for Global Functions & Science, and Executive Global HR Director for DSM Food Specialties. In 2023, Sonnenschein joined DSM-Firmenich as the Global HR Integration Director. Prior to DSM, Sonnenschein worked as an HR Coordinator and Corporate Management Trainee at Rabobank.
Kim Sonnenschein obtained a Master's degree in Law from Maastricht University in the period 2004-2008. In 2016, they attended the High Potential Leadership Program at Harvard Business School. Additionally, in 2014, they completed the Driving Performance through Talent Management program at Harvard Business School. In their earlier years, between 1999 and 2004, they obtained a Master's degree in International Business from Maastricht University. Kim also participated in an international exchange program at UC San Diego in 2003. Before their university studies, they attended Bernardinus College, where they completed a Grammar school education from 1993 to 1999. It is worth mentioning that they are currently enrolled in the Executive Business Education program at Harvard Business School, focusing on Leadership and Talent Management.
