Miranda Girard has diverse work experience in the fields of art galleries, education, and administration. Miranda started their career in 2009 with NFP, where they held various roles including Accounts Payable Coordinator, Interim Executive Assistant, and Receptionist. In 2012, they joined Western Connecticut State University as a Teacher's Aide and Gallery Assistant. From 2014 to 2019, they worked at Sorelle Gallery Fine Art, initially as an Assistant Director and later as the Director. In 2019, they joined DTR Modern Galleries as an Associate Director and eventually moved up to become the Gallery Director, first in Boston and then in Nantucket.
Miranda Girard has a diverse education history. Miranda completed a Certificate in Management Essentials at Harvard Business School Online in 2019. In 2017, they attended the Sotheby's Institute of Art for a course on Art as a Global Business. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2014, they pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree at Western Connecticut State University, specializing in Fine/Studio Arts. In 2008, Miranda attended Studio Escalier in Argenton-Chateau, France, for a three-month Portrait Painting Intensive program. Miranda began their education journey by earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Maryland Institute College of Art with a Creative Writing Minor in 2006. Their field of study throughout their arts education has been focused on Fine/Studio Arts.
