Tim Wang, CFA

Tim Wang, CFA has a wealth of experience in the finance and healthcare industries. Tim began their career in 1997 as a Summer Intern at Amgen, where they identified neuropeptide receptor subtypes in fugu fish. Tim then moved to Schering-Plough Research Institute as a Research Scientist, where they conducted research in Infectious Disease and Tumor Biology and was the inventor of five patents. In 2003, they began their career in finance as an Associate at Thomas Weisel Partners, where they provided equity research coverage of U.S. life science and diagnostic companies. Tim then moved to JP Morgan Securities and UBS in 2004, where they were an Associate Research Analyst and a member of top-ranked large-cap pharmaceutical research teams. In 2007, they joined Mizuho as an Executive Director, U.S. Healthcare Research and Advisory, where they covered the U.S. healthcare industry, including pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical device and diagnostics as a part of the banking division. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Duality Biologics as SVP, Head of Business Development and Strategy.

Tim Wang, CFA completed their education history by earning an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business in 2002, with a focus on Finance and Marketing. Prior to that, they had taken Ph.D. level courses in Biochemistry at the University of Southern California from 1996-1997. Tim then obtained an M.Sc. in Biochemistry from The University of British Columbia from 1994-1996. Before that, they had earned a B.Sc. in Microbiology from Nankai University from 1990-1994. Tim'seducation began at Tianjin Yaohua High School.
