Desiree Schmucker

Desiree Schmucker has extensive work experience in the field of communications and marketing. Desiree most recently served as the Head of External Communication and Social Media at Dubai Airports starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Communications Manager at Air New Zealand from 2021 to 2023. From 2018 to 2021, they held the position of Communications Manager at Etihad Airways, where they also served as the UAE Marketing Manager from 2014 to 2018 and as a Marketing Officer from 2013 to 2014. Before joining Etihad Airways, they worked as a Marketing Communications Manager at Hyatt Capital Gate Abu Dhabi from 2011 to 2013 and as a Marketing Communications Executive at Hyatt Regency Auckland from 2010 to 2011. Desiree began their career as a Junior Consultant at Wright Communications from 2008 to 2010.

Desiree Schmucker completed their diploma at Bahrain School in 2003. Desiree then pursued their undergraduate studies and obtained a First Year degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies at Franklin University Switzerland in 2004. Following this, they attended Auckland University of Technology from 2004 to 2007, where they earned their Bachelor of Communication Studies with a specialization in Public Relations/Image Management.
