Nabil Menhem has an extensive work experience in the field of urban planning and design. Nabil started their career in 2001 as the Founder and C.E.O. of flat s.a.l. In 2019, they became a Member of the Education Committee at the ALBA Urban Planning Institute. In 2022, they joined Dubai Municipality as the Principal Urban Planning & Design Specialist. Prior to that, they worked as a Key Expert for the Mashreq Region-CLIMA MED Acting for Climate in the South Mediterranean at DEM (Danish Energy Management A/S) in 2018. From 2014 to 2017, Nabil served as an Urban and Regional Planner and later as the Principal Urban Planner at the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Nabil also worked as the Project Director at A.R.S. Progetti S.P.A. in Rome, Italy in 2014. Nabil Menhem has part-time teaching experience as well, having worked as an instructor at Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) and Notre Dame University - Louaize in 2013. Additionally, they worked as an Urban Planner/Municipal and Institutional Advisor at the World Bank/EGIS-Bpda (France) in 2012, and as an Urban Planner/Designer at Oriental Consultants from 2009 to 2011.
Nabil Menhem holds a Ph.D. in Spatial Planning and Urban Development from Politecnico di Milano, which they obtained from 2011 to 2016. Nabil also has a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) in Human Settlements from KU Leuven, completed in 2005. Additionally, they hold a D.E.S.S. en Urbanisme from Institut d'Urbanisme de L'ALBA-BALAMAND, obtained in 1995. Nabil Menhem began their education journey by earning a Diplome d'Architecture from Holy Spirit University of Kaslik - USEK in 1992.
