Paddy O'Boyle's work experience includes various roles in different companies. Paddy started their career at Nortel as an Engineer and Engineering Manager, where they worked on projects related to landline telephone technology and optical networking. Paddy then moved to Nokia, where they worked in the Applications Business Unit and later in Corporate Strategy and Business Development. During this time, they were involved in restructuring businesses worldwide and modeling merger and acquisition scenarios. Afterward, they joined Bell Labs Ireland as the Head of Technology Licensing, where they led the licensing practice and resolved patent infringements. Currently, they are the Director of Business Development ICT at Dublin City University, where they create tech startups and matches companies to research expertise for innovation. Paddy has launched over 30 new ventures based on various deep tech areas.
Paddy O'Boyle has a diverse education history. Paddy earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Business from the University of Michigan in 1997. Prior to that, they completed an MBA program at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University in 1996.
