Rajiv Tata

Rajiv Tata has a comprehensive and extensive work experience in the legal field. Rajiv began their career as a student attorney at the Pace Environmental Litigation Clinic in 1997. After that, they worked as an associate at Coffey & Sullivan, where they provided effective counsel to municipal and corporate entities in complex federal court litigation.

Next, Rajiv joined Cole, Schotz as an associate and advised Fortune 500 corporate clients on liabilities associated with commercial real estate transactions. Rajiv also represented clients before state and federal regulatory agencies.

In 2002, Rajiv joined Unilever United States, Inc. as a Senior Attorney, specializing in environmental law. Rajiv successfully negotiated and reviewed transactional documents for mergers, acquisitions, and commercial real estate transactions. Rajiv also implemented audit programs to ensure compliance with environmental, worker safety, and transportation regulations.

From 2004 to 2011, Rajiv worked as the General Counsel and Director of Business Affairs at Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company. In this role, they drafted and negotiated various contracts significant to the company's operations and led due diligence activities for corporate and real estate acquisitions.

Afterward, Rajiv joined BakerCorp as Assistant General Counsel, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and commercial transactions. Rajiv developed due diligence frameworks, drafted and negotiated purchase agreements, and handled real estate issues.

Currently, Rajiv is working at Ducommun Incorporated. Rajiv started in 2017 as the Senior Director of Corporate Compliance. In this role, they were responsible for enterprise-wide compliance programs and intellectual property and supply chain legal agreements. Rajiv then became the Deputy General Counsel in 2018 before assuming the position of Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary in January 2020.

Throughout their career, Rajiv Tata has gained extensive experience in various legal areas, including contracts, compliance, mergers and acquisitions, environmental law, and litigation.

Rajiv Tata completed their Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Southern California in the years 2016 to 2018. Before that, they earned their Juris Doctor degree with a specialization in Environmental Law Certificate from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University from 1995 to 1998. Rajiv started their educational journey by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from UC San Diego in the years 1990 to 1994. In addition to their degrees, they also hold the certification of Green Belt Certified, obtained in 2015.
