Debbie Goode has a strong background in marketing and communications. Debbie started their career as a Director at Propeller TV in 2003 and then moved on to become the Regional Head of Marketing and Communications at LSC from 2004 to 2010. Debbie then joined the Education and Skills Funding Agency as the National Head of Business Communications from 2010 to 2013. Afterwards, they served as the Director of Marketing and Brand at BMet from 2013 to 2015. Most recently, they were an Assistant Principal at Dudley College and Black Country Institute of Technology from 2016 to 2020, where they then assumed the role of Executive Director of Marketing and Public Affairs from 2020 onwards.
Debbie Goode completed their Post Graduate Certificate in Education in Secondary Education and Teaching at the University of Leeds from 1990 to 1991. Debbie also obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from Aberystwyth University. Debbie further pursued a Master of Arts degree in Film and Television at Sheffield Hallam University. Additionally, they completed a Common Professional Education in Law Society and obtained a Dip Law qualification from the University of Wolverhampton.
