Alisha Garcia has a diverse range of work experience in the medical field. Alisha began their career as an EMT at Presbyterian Healthcare Services from 2005 to 2009. Alisha then worked as a paramedic at Albuquerque Ambulance from 2009 to 2012. Alisha then transitioned to Central New Mexico Community College where they served as an adjunct faculty member in 2016. In 2014, they returned to Presbyterian Healthcare Services as an Emergency Medicine PA-C until 2020. During this time, they also worked as a flight paramedic at Med Flight Air Ambulance from 2014 to 2017. Alisha's experience in emergency medicine and air medical services continued with roles as a Flight PA-C at Trans Aero Medevac from 2018 to 2019. Their most recent position is at Duke City Urgent Care, where they started in 2020 as the Assistant Medical Director of Provider Education & Training.
Alisha Garcia completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic) from The University of New Mexico, where they attended from 2006 to 2009. Continuing their education, they then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of St. Francis, from 2012 to 2014.
