John Pressley

John Pressley has an extensive work experience in the technology and energy sectors. John has worked at Duke Energy Corporation since 2010, where they held various roles including Director of DER, AMI, Grid Delivery within Digital Transformation and Director in Digital Transformation. In these positions, they focused on developing digital products to support Duke Energy's goal of achieving zero carbon emissions by 2050. John also had ownership of critical infrastructure and was responsible for centralizing the enterprise's data.

Prior to Duke Energy, John worked at Ciber as a Data Warehouse Consultant from 2008 to 2010. John also worked at Wachovia from 2003 to 2008, where they served as an IT Manager and managed a high-performing team. At Wachovia, they implemented an offshore development and support team and coordinated with various financial and CIB teams. John also developed a highly scalable fully reconciled star schema data mart with complex system architecture.

Earlier in their career, John worked as a Consultant at Accenture, where they worked on projects at Wachovia Bank and General Dynamics. At Wachovia, they were involved in the technological impact assessment of a merger and at General Dynamics, they designed and implemented a website for government contract management.

John Pressley completed their education with an MBA degree from the Wake Forest University Graduate School in 2006. Prior to this, they earned a bachelor's degree in MIS from the Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business in 1998.
