Jorge Aguilera

Jorge Aguilera, P.E. is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as a Transmission System Operations Senior Engineer at Duke Energy Corporation since May 2018, providing engineering support for the System Operating Center and Transmission Control Center in the Midwest region while ensuring NERC Standard Compliance. Jorge has progressed through various roles in the organization, starting as an intern and advancing from Engineer I to Senior Engineer. Prior to their current position, Jorge gained experience as a Consultant Engineer Intern at CMTA, Inc. and as a Transmission System Operations Intern at Duke Energy. Jorge also served as a Peer Mentor in the Engineering Living and Learning program at the University of Kentucky, where the role involved supporting students' academic success. Jorge holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky, earned in May 2018.
