David Surzykiewicz

David Surzykiewicz is an engaged leader at Duke University, holding multiple positions including Quad Council Social Chair, President's Athletic Council member, and Team Lead for a community-focused research initiative aimed at reducing hypertension in the Durham Black community. As a Senator of Campus Life in the Duke Student Government, David earned a Graydon John Forrer Award nomination for political courage. Additional experience includes competing nationally with Duke Moot Court and serving as a Risk Management Intern at BMW Bank GmbH. David's involvement in youth leadership is marked by serving as Youth Governor for Illinois YMCA Youth and Government, where promotional speaking and legislative advocacy were key responsibilities. David's educational journey includes a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, with studies at renowned institutions such as Harvard and Yale.
