Jacquie Samples is the Head of the Metadata & Discovery Strategy Department at Duke University, providing leadership in transforming collections metadata and enhancing discovery of both digital and print library resources since January 2011. Previously, Jacquie held roles such as Head of the Electronic Resources & Serials Cataloging Section and Electronic Serials Librarian, focusing on serials data management. Additionally, Jacquie served as a Part-Time Lecturer at Rutgers University and an Adjunct Professor of Practice at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, co-teaching advanced cataloging courses. Prior experience includes leading the Continuing & Electronic Resources section at North Carolina State University Libraries and performing cataloging tasks as a Library Assistant at the University of Iowa. Jacquie earned an M.A. in Library and Information Science from The University of Iowa and a B.S. in English from SUNY Brockport.
