Dave Hoops

Dave Hoops is an experienced brewer and writer, currently serving as Brewer and Manager at Hoops Brewing since September 2015, while also working as a Columnist focused on beer for the Duluth News Tribune. Additional roles include Advisor at Bev-Craft (October 2015 - October 2018) and Master Brewer at Just Take Action (December 1999 - October 2015). Previous positions include Lead Brewer at Pyramid Breweries (1995 - 1999) and Wine Buyer/Sommelier at Stars (September 1989 - June 1992), along with a Wine Buyer role at Lake Aire Bottle Shoppe (September 1985 - December 1989). Educational background includes studies at the University of Minnesota Duluth, San Francisco State University, and the Siebel Institute of Technology, culminating in a degree as a Master Brewer.
