Mel G. has a diverse work experience, starting as an Assistant Account Executive Intern at MRM Worldwide and a Creative Strategy Intern at Digitas. They later moved on to roles at University of Maryland, College Park as a Graphic Designer, AshokaU Terp Changemakers as the Marketing Chair, and HelloWallet as a Community Manager Associate. They also served as a Resident Assistant at the University of Maryland. With a transition to Coalesce Chicago, they took on the role of Creative Director before shifting to Digitas North America as an Associate Creative Strategist, then progressing to National Lead of ONYX, and ultimately Senior Strategist at Sterling Brands. Currently, Mel G. is an Associate Director of Brand Strategy at Duncan Channon. Throughout their career, Mel has demonstrated a strong focus on diversity and inclusion initiatives, creative strategy, and brand development.

Mel G. completed an Associate of Science Degree in Business Administration and Accounting Transfer from Prince George's Community College in 2011. From 2009 to 2013, Mel pursued a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Studio Art (Graphic Design) at the University of Maryland. In 2013, Mel studied International Economics and Finance at The American University of Rome. In 2017, Mel earned a part-time certificate in User Experience Design from General Assembly.
