Derek McLachlan

Derek McLachlan is an experienced legal professional with a background in both law and business. Currently serving as an Associate at Duncan Cotterill since October 2021, Derek previously held the position of Senior Solicitor at Gallaway Cook Allan Lawyers from April 2016 to October 2021. Derek's legal career began with roles as a Personal Assistant at Lynne Harrison Barrister and a Law Clerk at Eagles Eagles and Redpath. In academia, Derek earned dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Law and Business/Commerce, with a focus on Finance from the University of Otago, where involvement in student leadership roles included Competitions Co-ordinator and Administrative Vice President.
