Chris Henderson

Chris Henderson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in waste management and environmental solutions. Since September 2011, Chris has served as the Group Manager at Dunedin City Council, focusing on strategic initiatives to promote sustainable waste management and recycling in the city. Previous roles include Plant Operations and Maintenance Manager, Manager of Maintenance and Wastewater, and Manager of Wastewater Treatment, with significant achievements such as the successful $100 million upgrade of the Tahuna main pollution control plant. Chris's career also includes experience at Hutt Valley Water Services as a Shift Engineer, at Fronde as a Support Technician, and in the Royal New Zealand Air Force as an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor. Chris holds a Bachelor of Applied Management with a focus on Change Management from Otago Polytechnic and multiple relevant qualifications in wastewater treatment, aeronautical maintenance, and IT service management.
