Kevin Gilbert

Kevin Gilbert is an experienced professional in the food and hospitality industry, currently serving as a City Councillor and Deputy Chair of Strategy, Planning, and Engagement at Dunedin City Council since October 2022. As the owner of Gilbert's Fine Food and Lievito Bakery, Kevin oversees all aspects of bakery and hospitality business operations while also acting as a baking and business advisor. With over 25 years of expertise, Kevin contributes as a Bakery Skills Expert for WorldSkills New Zealand, an assessor and moderator for Capable NZ, and has held various leadership roles including President of the Baking Industry Association of New Zealand. Kevin's educational background includes degrees from Otago Polytechnic and CPIT, specializing in culinary design and baking arts.
