Hoshi L. is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in product design and leadership roles across various industries. Currently serving as the Director of Product Design at Duolingo since January 2023, Hoshi previously held positions such as Senior Staff Product Designer at Coinbase and Product Design Lead at Instagram, focusing on systems and Meta’s Family of Apps. Hoshi's background includes teaching at the School of Visual Arts, where responsibilities included mentoring design students and developing curriculum, and global leadership roles at Supreme New York and Instagram. Additionally, Hoshi has contributed to innovation at Google, particularly with the Jigsaw product incubator, and has a solid foundation in creative direction from previous roles at R/GA and Firstborn.
