Brock Donovan

Brock Donovan has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple industries. Brock started their career as a Differential Equations Mentor at Netmath at UIUC in 2006. Brock then worked as the Engineering Director at Illini Media, where they managed a team of engineers.

In 2007, Brock was an Executive Staff Intern at Chrysler Corporation. The following year, they joined Motorola Solutions as a Senior Systems Engineer, where they worked until 2012.

After that, Brock joined the University of Illinois at Chicago as a Graduate Assistant, where they analyzed longitudinal medical trial data for the School of Public Health. Brock also served as a Doctoral Student and a Teaching Assistant during their time at the university.

In 2013, Brock took on roles at Organizing for Action, working as both a Digital Analytics Manager and an Analytics Engineer. Brock was responsible for data integrity, reporting, optimization, and insights.

From 2016 to 2017, Brock worked at Orchard Platform as a Data Analyst, developing best practices and procedures for preparing account summary and detailed loan performance reports. Brock also led the Google Analytics reporting and product optimization effort.

Following that, Brock joined Major League Soccer in 2017 as the Manager of Insights and Analytics. In this role, they prioritized data and insights as a strategic asset for fan relationships and digital value. Brock worked with internal stakeholders, clubs, and partners to make informed operational decisions.

Most recently, Brock has been working at dv01 since 2019. Brock started as a Data Engineer and has since been promoted to Senior Data Engineer II.

Brock Donovan pursued their education in a diverse range of fields. From 2000 to 2004, they attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, completing their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (BSEE). After a gap of several years, in 2007 to 2008, they then studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Liverpool, though it is unspecified whether they obtained a degree. Later, in 2012 to 2013, Brock Donovan engaged in advanced academic pursuits and successfully earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioinformatics from the University of Illinois Chicago.

In addition to their formal education, Brock Donovan also acquired a certification called Network+ from CompTIA in November 2010.
