Giancarlo Faranda

Giancarlo Faranda has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Giancarlo joined dv01 in 2018 and currently serves as the Director of Engineering. Prior to this, they held the positions of Engineering Manager, Data Platform and Engineering Manager, Integrations at dv01. Giancarlo also worked as a Senior Data Engineer and Data Engineer during their time at the company.

Before joining dv01, Giancarlo worked at KPMG US from 2014 to 2018 as a Senior Associate, Advisory, Digital Enablement. In this role, they focused on software solution architecture and engineering, working in cross-disciplinary teams to deliver enterprise data solutions. Their responsibilities included serving as a Solution Architect, Software Engineer, Sales Engineer, and DevOps Engineer. One notable project they worked on involved analyzing data and infrastructure requirements for a major office supply retailer to design a solution for FASB ASC 842 compliant reporting.

Prior to KPMG US, Giancarlo was employed at Thomson Reuters from 2012 to 2014 as an Application Support Engineer. Their responsibilities included monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, and ticket resolution for Thomson ONE Next News and EIKON SWIFT real-time news applications. Giancarlo also played a role in software deployment and documentation creation for 1st level operations teams.

Giancarlo Faranda pursued their higher education at the University at Albany, SUNY from 2006 to 2011. Giancarlo obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology during their time at the university.

In addition to their formal education, Giancarlo Faranda also obtained certifications in the field of cloud computing. In December 2017, they completed the "Architecting with Google Cloud Platform Specialization" from Coursera. Subsequently, in February 2018, they earned the "Google Cloud Certified Professional - Data Engineer" certification from Google Cloud Certified.
