Tyler Gabb

Tyler Gabb has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in software engineering. Tyler is currently employed as a Senior Backend Engineer I at dv01 since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Backend Software Engineer II at dv01 from March 2022 to January 2023.

Before joining dv01, Tyler worked as a Freelance Software Engineer in 2020, where they demonstrated proficiency in Javascript, HTML, CSS, React, Firebase, and Google Cloud Platform. Tyler was responsible for gathering requirements, creating specifications, and leading the research, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of projects for stakeholders.

From January 2019 to March 2022, Tyler worked as a Software Engineer at Modular Mining. During their tenure, they developed expertise in Kotlin, C#, Java, REST, gRPC, Spring, Linux, SQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Azure Devops. Tyler focused on exposing APIs in legacy applications for improved integration with modern microservices, as well as designing and implementing new services based on domains.

Tyler's professional journey began as a Software Development Intern at Hexagon Mining in 2018. Tyler gained experience in software development and interned there till January 2019. Tyler also worked as a Software Developer at Polyprint Tucson from May 2017 to May 2018, where their responsibilities included leading the development of software projects and interacting with on-site data centers.

Prior to their professional roles, Tyler was involved in academic projects at the University of Arizona. As a Capstone Project Team Member from May 2017 to May 2018, they designed and implemented a software framework for interfacing the Universal Robot Arm with a barcode camera and 3D camera over a TCP network to automate a QA and packaging process for Continental Automotive Systems. Additionally, they worked as an Undergrad RA, Software Profiling from March 2017 to April 2017.

Tyler Gabb holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics with a Computer Science emphasis from the University of Arizona, which they completed from 2016 to 2018. Additionally, they also earned a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, completing their studies from 2011 to 2018.
