Tifina Cowan

Tifina Cowan is an experienced mental health professional currently serving as an Adult Trauma Therapist and Underserved Outreach Advocate at Domestic Violence Intervention Services, Inc. since January 2018. In this role, Tifina provides essential support and advocacy for underserved populations, including immigrants, Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals, and the elderly in North Tulsa, while also leading diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Previous roles include Abuse in Later Life Project Coordinator and Transitional Housing Case Manager at Mental Health Association Oklahoma, Case Manager at Goodwill Industries of Tulsa, Employment Specialist at Porter-Leath, and Child Protective Services Investigator for the Tennessee Department of Children's Services. Tifina holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from The University of Memphis.
