Dr. Peter Velthuis

Dr. Peter Velthuis has a diverse range of work experience in the medical field. Dr. Peter is currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer at DX Medical Solutions since September 2020. Prior to this role, they co-founded Cutaneous facial ultrasound in 2018, which focuses on ultrasound education in Cosmetic Medicine. Dr. Peter also held the position of Head of Aesthetics Centre at Erasmus MC starting from February 2016. Dr. Velthuis has extensive experience as the Founder and Medical Director of Velthuis Kliniek, where they worked from January 1993 to January 2016.

Dr. Peter Velthuis has a strong educational background in the field of Medicine. Dr. Peter completed their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) in 1981. After that, they pursued further specialization and obtained a degree in Dermatology from Utrecht University in 1986. Building on their dermatology expertise, Dr. Velthuis continued their education at Utrecht University and accomplished a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Medicine in 1990.

More recently, Dr. Velthuis displayed an interest in Mathematics and further expanded their knowledge by pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics at The Open University, beginning in 2021. This educational journey indicates their commitment to continuous learning and a broadening of their expertise beyond the field of Medicine.
