Michael Peeler

Michael Peeler has extensive experience in both law enforcement and education, currently serving as Associate Pastor at Alexander Missionary Baptist Church since May 2020, and holding dual roles as Chief of Police and Director of Student Life at Dyersburg State Community College since November 2021. Prior experience includes Superintendent at John S. Wilder Youth Development Center, Assistant Director for Veteran & Career Advising at Austin Peay State University, Deputy Sheriff in Cheatham County, and various roles within the military, culminating in a retired rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army after 26 years of service. Michael Peeler holds a Master of Science in Adult, Occupational & Continuing Education from Kansas State University and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Health from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
