Charles McFadden

Charles McFadden has held various positions in the engineering field since 2011. From 2011 to 2017, they worked as a Site Manager and Valet for a Parking Management Company. During this time, they developed quick and creative decision making skills, as well as proficiency with driving various vehicles. In 2015, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Tiger Institute: Nano-Materials Lab and the Intelligent Tactical Mobility Robotics Lab at Tennessee State University. During this time, they designed and solid modeled a prototype of an eight-cell lithium-ion battery tester and assisted in the redesign of an automated visual inspection system. In 2016, they were an Assistant Instructor at the Robotics Summer Camp and a Mechanical Design Team Member in the 2017 Air Force Research Lab University Design Challenge. In this role, they successfully designed and manufactured a special operations equipment and gear transport vehicle, as well as preserving customer requirements in the conceptual design process and performing calculations to determine required spring stiffness and motor torque. In 2017, they held a position as a Mechanical Engineer at Dynamic Structures & Materials, LLC.

Charles McFadden attended Tennessee State University from 2015 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
