Kristian Agnew

Kristian Agnew has held various roles in engineering, validation, and leadership positions in the biopharmaceutical industry. Kristian started their career at NCDOT as a Design Engineer and Research Engineer. Kristian then worked at PharmaSys, Inc. as a Regional Manager and Project Manager, focusing on compliance and validation consulting for manufacturing facilities. Kristian joined Amgen as a Senior Validation Engineer, Validation Manager, and Principal Engineer in Project Engineering Design. At Merck, they served as Associate Director of Engineering, responsible for validation, aseptic/sterile manufacturing, and inspection support. Kristian also served as Head of Validation at the Carlow, Ireland site. Agnew then joined Dynavax Technologies, first as Director of Engineering and Validation, and later as Executive Director of Technical Operations. Kristian'smost recent position was at IVERIC bio, where they served as Senior Director of Quality Operations, overseeing quality management for product development and manufacturing activities related to age-related macular degeneration treatments.

Kristian Agnew completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at North Carolina State University from 1992 to 1995. From 1992 to 1997, they were also a student athlete in Cross Country and Track & Field at the same university. Additionally, they earned a Master's Degree in Structural Engineering from North Carolina State University, completing it from 1995 to 1997.
