Sudarto Tjandra has a diverse and extensive work experience in various accounting roles. From 1999 to 2000, they worked as an Accounting Intern at Worthington Industries, where they assisted with month-end close processes and other accounting duties. In 1999, they also had a Treasury Intern position at Cardinal Health, where they contributed to the development of a new credit database portal and conducted financial analysis for credit limit proposals.
From 2001 to 2003, Sudarto worked as a Staff Accountant at Vincent A. Fortunato & Joan C. Kahr, C.P.A., where they provided accounting services and prepared payroll reports. Sudarto also performed review and compilation tasks as part of the assurance services.
From 2003 to 2005, Sudarto worked as a Senior Auditor at EY, primarily focusing on financial services. Sudarto gained expertise in fund accounting, fair value accounting, and complex financial instruments.
Starting in 2005, Sudarto joined BDO USA, LLP as an Assurance Senior and later became an Assurance Supervising Senior and Assurance Manager. Sudarto managed a diverse set of clients, specializing in industries such as financial services, SaaS, software, biotech/pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing. Their responsibilities included various aspects of financial reporting, such as equity accounting, revenue recognition, share-based compensation, and fair value standards.
In 2012, Sudarto joined Suntech as an Accounting Manager, where they performed month-end close processes, financial reporting, and contract review. Sudarto also handled inventory accounting tasks.
From 2013 to 2017, Sudarto worked at Actelion as an Accounting Manager. Sudarto managed the gross-to-net process for multiple commercial products, including handling returns, rebates, and other financial aspects related to revenue.
In 2017, Sudarto started working at Dynavax Technologies as a Senior Manager of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting. In 2021, they became an Associate Director of Accounting, responsible for external reporting and evaluation of complex transactions. In 2022, Sudarto took on the role of Associate Director of Revenue Accounting, overseeing the revenue accounting close and reporting process, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal controls.
Throughout their career, Sudarto has demonstrated a strong understanding of US GAAP and has contributed to accurate and timely financial reporting.
Sudarto Tjandra obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Accounting and Finance from The Ohio State University - The Max M. Fisher College of Business, from 1997 to 2000. Sudarto Tjandra also obtained the Certified Public Accountant certification from California in March 2006.
